Newt Gingrich was the Speaker of the House of Representatives and one of the key leaders of the so-called Republican Revolution of the 1990s. After the election of President Barack Obama, Gingrich quickly emerged as one of the administration's harshest and most visible critics.
The Ensoniq ASR-10 (Advanced Sampling Recorder) was a sampling keyboard produced by Ensoniq between 1992 and 1994. The ASR-10 did not require a computer or additional equipment in order to have a complete song. It is used to make beats and loop in some hip hop and rap music. Some notable users are Rabbit in the Moon, Timbaland, and Kanye West.
The EPS is a sampling keyboard with a special leaning for live performance (Ensoniq Performance Sampler). It brought together many facets of synthesis at its time: sampling, synthesis and performance. The EPS has been used by Cirrus, Wu-tang producer RZA, filmaker/composer John Carpenter and Massive Attack.
Ensoniq VFX was released back in 1989, a contemporary of the Roland "LA" synths like the D-50 and shares the idea of assembling sounds from various sampled attack transients and looped sustaining "body" sounds. It has been used by Front 242, Duran Duran, Genesis and Journey.
Electronic Dream Plant (EDP) first started production of the Wasp in 1978 and continued into the early 1980's. The synth is often thought of as a toy, but it is surprisingly well designed, with many features that most classic synth's could benefit from. The Wasp has been used by 808 State, Dave Holmes, Vince Clarke, WhiteHouse and Add N to (X).
Lee DeWyze has made the Hollywood round on American Idol Season 9. He hails from Mount Prospect, Illinois. DeWyze specializes in strumming an acoustic guitar while singing. The American Idol singer has a gorgeously raspy, and husky voice.
Michael Lynche aka Big Mike, one of the judges' favorite finalists, was nearly ousted from "American Idol" but judges saved him after he received the fewest of America's votes. Lynche will continue in the competition as he takes the stage with the remaining finalists.

The Annoying Orange is a series of YouTube videos, created by Daneboe, uploaded to his self-titled account. The show's protagonist and main character is an unintelligent and extremely annoying young orange named Orange who enjoys telling jokes to his friends and hanging out with Daneboe.

The ZR-76 offers internal sounds, including The Perfect Piano that really stands out, providing one of the most realistic sounding pianos on the market. It has been used by Baby Face and other pop and R&B artists.
The Fairlight Computer Musical Instrument was a general-purpose computer with peripheral devices that allowed the musician to digitize sounds, store them, and then play them. It was probably the first great sampler developed in Sydney, Australia in 1980s. It has been used by Duran Duran, Heaven 17, Alan Parsons, and Supertramp.
Build around 1981 by an Italian organ society called Elka, the Synthex is one of few polyphonic structured machine to have deep bass, rich strings, complex brass sounds and magical electronic sound of pure analog circuits! It has been used by Tangerine Dream and Duran Duran. After they ended production they made a special one for Stevie Wonder.

The Doepfer MS-404 is a MIDI-controlled monophonic analog synthesizer designed to be a rackmounted Roland TB-303 synth clone that came out during the mid 90's. It is a serious alternative to the high-cost second hand vintage synthesizers. It has been used by Hardfloor and Josh Wink.
Katie Stevens has become one of the ninth season's early breakout personalities. Stevens, 16, is shown to be very close to her grandmother, who is now suffering from Alzheimer's disease. She has had a few months of formal vocal training. Her pre-performance ritual includes praying.
Tim Urban didn't make the top 24 originally but Fox made him took the place of some guy named Chris GoLightly. He was was mysteriously selected by the judges of American Idol. Urban has since made it all the way through to the Top 9 of Season 9.
Aaron Kelly is a 16-year-old country singer who qualified to audition this year by winning the American Idol Experience at DisneyWorld. Although he has long aspired to pursue a career in music, Aaron Kelly has worked part-time jobs, such as selling sodas at the local beach shop. Aaron has huge potential... check this out!
