Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929 into a rich Irish Catholic family in Philadelphia. Grace would forever be immortalized by winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Georgie Elgin in The Country Girl in 1954. When she married Prince Rainier of Monaco, she gave up her career. Grace was killed in an automobile accident.
Vivien Leigh was an English actress who was born in India on November 5, 1913. Although her film appearances were relatively few, she won two Academy Awards playing Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind and Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire. Leigh worked sporadically in film and theatre until her death from tuberculosis on July 8, 1967.

The actress and singer Doris Day was born on April 3, 192, she is one of the few surviving stars of Hollywood's golden age. She made her debut in show-business in 1939 and gave her final screen appearance in 1986 hosting her own TV chat show. Thereafter, she retired from the limelight to focus her attention on her two animal welfare organisations.
Audrey Hepburn was one of kind to say the least. Besides her pretty face she also had a good heart. Grateful for her own good fortune after being a victim of the Nazi occupation as a child, she dedicated the remainder of her life to helping impoverished children in the world's poorest nations through UNICEF. She died at the age of 67.
Latka is a Foreign Man character in the TV series Taxi who speaks poor English. Playing the character of Latka was a nice boost for Andy Kaufman's career. In order to allow Kaufman to demonstrate some comedic range, his character was given multiple personality disorder, which allowed Kaufman to randomly portray other characters.
Mary Pickford was one of the greatest silent stars of all time. She was destined to become America's first sweetheart. Mary was known for playing little girl roles, her final such one coming well in her 30s. She was awarded an Oscar for Lifetime Achievement in 1976. On May 29, 1979, she died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Santa Monica, California.

Ethel Merman was born on Jan. 16, 1908, she was a pre-eminent star of Broadway musical comedy and has been a inspiration for crossdressor preformers everwhere. She is remembered for her marvelous starring appearances in so many great musicals like Gypsy, Call me Madam and There's No Business Like Show Business. Ethel died on February 15, 1984.
Ginger Rogers was an Academy Award-winning American film and stage actress, dancer and singer. Ginger`s real stardom occurred when she was teamed with Fred Astaire where they were one of the best cinematic couples ever to hit the silver screen. She died on April 25, 1995, of congestive heart failure at the age of 83.
Actress singer Shirley Jones was born on March 31, 1934. From an early age her mother recognized that her daughter had a natural gift for singing. She appeared in her first film Oklahoma as as Laurie, the farm girl in love with cowboy Gordon MacRae. Marty and Shirley reconciled and are still one of Hollywood's happiest married.

Andrews maintained her career momentum with appearances in such famous films like Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Darling Lili and The Muppet Show. She's the only actress who won for the Oscar in the Lead Actress category in a Walt Disney film Mary Poppins.
Bettie Page is an American icon, her winning smile and effervescent personality apparent in every pose. Her image captured the imagination of a generation with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality, during an era of 1950s sexual repression. She suffered a fatal heart attack in December 2008 at the age of 85.
